Indoor Lighting Fixtures (Non-LED)

The Original Purchaser of the product shall return any allegedly defective parts or products to the authorized DVI Lighting distributor that the product was purchased from with the original bill of sale. Notice of a defect must be received by DVI Lighting within five (5) years from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase is required. In the case of online purchases, please contact your online retailer for instructions. 

 

 

DVI Lighting offers a five-year limited warranty on its parts & products. Specifically, this warranty includes the following issues specifically:

 

    • Replacing, repairing or refunding a luminaire frame due to only the following:
      • Wiring problems that cause a fixture to cease operation.
      • Defective Sockets that cause light bulbs to either fail, consistently burn out or overheat the wiring chamber.
      • Flaws to the finish of the fixture that relate to discoloration or flaking.
      • Structural problems that create a potential hazard from the products installed position.
    • Replacing glass products alone or on a luminaire frame due to:
      • Glass finishes that flake or peel off.
      • Glass that develops a structural flaw not related to dropping or overtorquing.
      • Glass that arrives broken in the original packaging.

 

DVI Lighting is not responsible for, and will not accept claims against warranty for, and not only:

 

    • Failure to have the fixture installed by a certified electrician (valid electricians receipt must be kept for all warranty claims).
    • Improper installation including failure to follow instructions by homeowner or by a certified electrician.
    • Accident, act of God or another natural catastrophe.
    • Willful or non-willful damage or neglect.
    • Damage to due dropping of the luminaire or its glass or damage caused during installation.
    • Damage due to extremes of heat and/or cold.
    • Damage caused due to the use of cleaners not advised in the instructions.
    • Neglect (including improper maintenance & improper packaging of returned components & products).
    • Installation of indoor fixtures in outdoor applications immediately voids any and all warranties.
    • Modification of fixtures by electrician or homeowner with 3rd party components other than light bulbs.

 

If the warranted product is determined by DVI Lighting, at its sole discretion to be defective, such products will, at DVI Lighting’s sole option, be replaced, repaired or refunded. DVI Lighting may either return the repaired product, offer an equivalent replacement as determined by DVI Lighting, or provide a refund at the original transaction value as determined by the bill of sale. This warranty does not cover labor or other costs or expenses to remove or install any defective, repaired or replaced product and at no time, shall DVI Lighting pay for expenses other than the part or product provided. Under no circumstances shall DVI Lighting compensate for expenses including but not limited to electrician’s expenses, scaffolding, or other equipment related to installation or de-installation or furniture, accessories or flooring affected.

 

 

The parties hereto expressly agree that Original Purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedy against DVI Lighting shall be for the repair, replacement or refund of defective products as provided herein. All DVI Lighting warranties extend only to product ownership by the Original Purchaser; and are not transferable whether to heirs, subsequent owners, or otherwise; and are void if the Original Purchaser ceases to own the product or if the original purchaser changes address from the address provided on the bill of sale.

 

 

Note: DVI Lighting product warranty applies only to purchases from authorized distributors.  This warranty voids all other extra warranties possibly noted elsewhere and is considered the only warranty applicable to DVI Lighting Indoor Products.

 

THE FOREGOING WARRANTY VOIDS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THOSE PROVIDED BY THE SELLER OF THE PRODUCT OR ANY OTHER PARTY GUARANTEEING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR INFRINGEMENT. ORIGINAL PURCHASER SHALL IN NOT BE ENTITLED TO, AND DVI LIGHTING SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFIT, MINOR REPAIRS DUE TO DEFECT, PROMOTIONAL AND/OR MANUFACTURING EXPENSES, OVERHEAD OR INJURY TO REPUTATION.

Outdoor Lighting Fixtures

Outdoor Lighting Limited 5-Year Warranty

 

DVI Lighting warrants to the first non-dealer purchaser of any of its  Outdoor rated products that they are to be free from defects in material and workmanship as noted; for  electrical components, including LED components are warranted for five (5) years unless mounted on an occupancy sensor or incompatible dimmer, please see your fixture instructions for DVI certified sensors and dimmers; outdoor painted finishes are warranted for two (2) years unless within 100 yards of salt water, including salt water pools. For coastal locations, some corrosion and/or deterioration is considered “normal wear” in this environment and is considered beyond warranty. Stainless steel finish products are warranted for lifetime, under normal use, as long as the Original Purchaser owns the product. Although DVI uses the best available materials and does extensive testing for finish endurance, some fading or chalking may occur and is considered normal. If a product is defective, all efforts will be made to correct the problem in the field. If the problem cannot be resolved, an RGA number will be issued through the distributor through which the fixture was purchased.  Under no circumstances should you contact DVI directly for warranty claims.

 

The Company’s obligation under this warranty shall not extend beyond the direct replacement of the fixture itself and excludes any other costs including but not limited to labor, material and installation costs. This warranty shall not apply to products that have been altered, improperly installed, mishandled or misused. Notice of a defect in writing must be received by DVI Lighting within five (5) years from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase may be required by retailer.
